Elvis

Elvis.jpg

Written as a celebration of the life of Elvis Presley, this musical was a huge success in London and subsequently equally successful on a world tour of Europe, Australia, Canada and Japan. It's one of Ray's rare departures from comedy but has all the theatrical hallmarks that make his work so special. Elvis's life is told through the eyes of three performers portraying Elvis - the young Elvis starting out, the mature successful movie star who finally fades and the triumphant re-emergence of the older Elvis at Las Vegas.
